Current Trend: Contemporary Prints

Contemporary fabrics and prints are great if you want a change from florals or simple plains, and will work across many styles, such as sleek and minimal or bold and eclectic.

If you’re looking for some inspiration take a look at what we think are some of the best ways in corporate a contemporary print in your home…

Bright & Bold

We’ve completely fallen for this bold new addition to the Prestige Collection.  This contemporary design called ‘Amari’ features a trellis leaf like pattern with splashes of colour and a deep charcoal trim. We’ve reupholstered this fabric onto a chair with light wooden features to give a slight retro feel.  This fabric is perfect if you’re looking to give one piece of furniture in the room some wow factor!

Muted & Understated

By choosing contemporary patterns in one or two shades like these above, you can easily modernise a look without running the risk of clashing with other designs.  More neutral colour schemes such as this dusky Grey look great when teamed with bolder flashes colour, like the sunshine yellow scatter cushions and accessories.

Stunning Stripes

MITRA_BERRY_p1

Stripes are one of the easiest ways to create a contemporary look, and they co-ordinate with most other styles such as florals or graphic prints.  To keep the look interesting choose stripes with various widths and colours such as our Mitra fabric in Berry colourway.
