Prints make a comeback

You may associate bold prints and stripes with the 60’s and 70’s but like fashion they have eventually come back around again (with a modern twist), and look like they’re here to stay.  There’s a breadth of choices that span over all aspects of the home, from wallpaper and tiles to flooring and furniture, so whether you just want a small print or dare to cover your whole wall, we have pieced together some inspiration.

Printed upholstery fabrics are very popular at the moment as many people want to make a statement in their living room.  This Plumbs Delphina Damask fabric in Rose adds a romantic feel to this classic rolled armed sofa.  The deep pinks and gold’s are picked out perfectly with matching plain scatter cushions, and could also be co-ordinated with matching made to measure curtains.

This leaf pattered wallpaper could be over powering, but it’s toned done with simple block colour furniture and understated wood flooring.  There are lots of different colours and styles when it comes to wallpapering with pattern, even in DIY shops, so it needn’t cost you a fortune to redecorate.

If you already have bold prints or patterned walls why not tie them to plainer or block coloured sofas with co-ordinating scatter cushions.  Cushions can be easily and cheaply changed to update the feel and style of your home, and add luxury and comfort to your sofa.
